The 13th Annual Creative Arts Hawaii/Hilo High Viking Invitational Bowling Classic has been canceled due to the closing of Hilo Lanes.
The tournament had been scheduled for Aug. 16 with the host Vikings, other Big Island Interscholastic Federation teams, and teams from Kauai and Oahu slated to participate.
“We had about 80 bowlers who were going to take part,” Hilo High head coach Damien Chow said. “I want to thank the bowling community, Creative Arts Hawaii and other local businesses, and the Hilo High parents and alumni for their support over the years.”
